Notes from the Field- Teaching for Conceptual Change: Uncovering Student Thinking in Science Through Action Research- This collection of teacher action research projects, funded through an MSP State grant to the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance shows how K-8 teachers used the CTS Action Research process described in the Science CTS Leader's Guide, to learn more about their students conceptions and take informed action based on their findings. The process combines CTS, Uncovering Student Ideas in Science assessment probes, and data gathering/analysis techniques.
