CTS and Assessment

Assessment applications of CTS include formative assessment probe development, assessment item alignment, and development of performance assessment tasks. Additional CTS resources for assessment include:

• Crosswalk to AAAS/Project 2061 Assessment Items- AAAS/Project 2061's Assessment Web Site has over 600 multiple choice items that can be used in CTS professional development to help teachers see what a valid and reliable assessment item looks like aligned to a CTS learning goal. Each item also includes valuable information about student misconceptions that can be used with CTS Section IV. The following Crosswalks to CTS (as well as the Uncovering Student Ideas Assessment Probes) have been developed for the hundreds of items listed on this site.
